Left Haggerman and headed for Ely Nevada. Mollie made reservations at the KOA for a Kabin. The drive was good until mid way then construction with waits up to 20 minutes in 100 degree heat. Thanks to our trusty subaru, the AC kept cooling and no over heating tho there was a good level of anxiousness in the cabin...
Arrived at Ely at 4 PM and checked in. In my younger travel days, I would have just kept going and make it to Flagstaff but the day was done for both of us at 4, and glad to check into the KOA. Mollie is a truper and still wants so much to be with me. We are learning the fine art of leashing it every where and picking her up at every step She cannot see so every thing becomes an obsticle. Can't believe how our days are truly 9 - 10 ish to 3 or 4ish. Mollie can't stand much more than that, and I honestly am with her. Aging well is what we are learning together. Dinner and an early start tomorrow for Knab UT
Learnings:
Today I struggled with a potential job opportunity presented before leaving on our trip. Amazing what being back in the Nevada open skys can bring in clarity and perspective.
Lodging comments:
Ely KOA Kabins are great! Bring your own linens, towels and such. Very clean, the bathrooms / showers are clean. Glad to be here and not the Motel 6. Our Kabin was $55.00.
I'm glad Hagerman treated you and Mollie alright. I know Mollie loves being with you even though traveling is a struggle.
